  • Invitation content: names, event dates, venues, photos, and any other details you enter when creating an invitation.
  • Payment information: processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details.
  • RSVP data: names, emails, and responses submitted by your guests.
  • Usage data: pages visited, browser type, IP address, and device information.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases under the GDPR:

  • Performance of a contract — to create, host and deliver the invitation you purchased, and to process your payment.
  • Consent — for non-essential cookies, analytics, advertising measurement and any marketing emails. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests — to keep our platform secure, prevent abuse, and improve our service.
  • Legal obligation — to issue and retain invoices as required by Greek tax law.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your digital invitations.
  • Process payments, issue invoices and send purchase confirmations.
  • Send RSVP notifications to invitation owners.
  • Provide customer support.
  • Improve our platform and user experience.
  • Send service-related communications (no marketing without consent).

5. Data Retention & Automatic Deletion

We retain your data only as long as necessary:

  • Invitations: automatically deleted 7 days after the event date. You will receive an email reminder 6 days after the event.
  • Account data: retained while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.
  • RSVP responses: deleted together with the invitation.
  • Invoices and accounting records: retained for the period required by Greek tax law.

By using Wedloo, you acknowledge and agree to this automatic deletion policy.

6. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with trusted service providers necessary to operate our platform:

  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Brevo — transactional email delivery
  • Google — OAuth login, analytics and advertising measurement
  • DeepL and Anthropic — automatic translation of interface text
  • Meta, Pinterest and Microsoft — advertising measurement, where you have consented
  • Contentsquare — anonymised analysis of how our pages are used, where you have consented
  • Greek Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) — electronic invoicing, as required by law

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy and processes data in accordance with the GDPR.

7. International Transfers

Some of our service providers are based outside the European Economic Area. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, it is protected by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
